William Francis Brown was born on 6 June 1937 at Camden, New Jersey, to William Francis Brown and Ellen Ada Cunliffe. [1]
On 3 July 1938, he was baptized, in Holy Innocents Church, Beach Haven, Ocean County, New Jersey. [1]
In 1940, he was living with his parents on 5th Street, Beach Haven, Ocean County, New Jersey, which they rented for $15 a month. His father William worked 48 hours the week of 24 March as a painter for a building concern, and had earned $1300 in 52 weeks work in 1939. [2]
In 1950, he was living with his parents in Beach Haven, Ocean County, New Jersey. The week before the census was taken, his father worked 72 hours as a fisherman. His father earned $3000 in 72 weeks work in 1949, and his mother earned $360. [3]
On 26 September 1954, he died when his automobile struck a utility pole near Sayreville, Middlesex County, New Jersey. He was pronounced dead on arrival at South Amboy Hospital. [4] He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton, Ocean County, New Jersey. [5]

'Youth Killed In Auto Crash
'SAYREVILLE—A 17-year-old Beach Haven youth was killed here early yesterday when his car struck a pole.
'The victim was William F. Brown, Jr., 344 Second Street, Beach Haven.
'Sayreville police said the car in which the youth was driving alone, rammed into a Jersey Central Power and Light Company utility pole on Route 9-4 at Rose's Corner here.
'The youth was taken to the South Amboy Hospital by the South Amboy First Aid Squad, where he was prounced dead on arrival.
'Police said the youth was traveling north on Route 9-4, about 1:35 A.M. yesterday when the vehicle he was driving smashed into the pole, breaking off a 16-foot section, which landed about 45 feet away from the pole's base.
'According to the police, the motor of the car was hurled 75 feet from the spot where the vehicle hit the pole. Police said the car was a total wreck.
'The youth was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Brown. Beach Haven police said they believed he was a senior in Barnegat High School.'
