Biography

Ruth Brady was born 23 Jan 1922 in Hood County, Texas. She was the daughter of Jack Brady and Mary Elizabeth Proctor. ^[1]

She first married James Knox Franklin on 9 Oct 1940, in Galveston, Texas. They had three children: Betty Sandra, James Knox, and Carol Diane. ^[2]

The Galveston Directory has them living at 1505 Ave. M in 1941. ^[3]

Sometime between 1941 and 1950, she divorced James and married John Howard Hamilton who she is living with in 1950 in Galveston.

The 1950 Census shows John 37 and wife Ruth 28 living in an upper apartment with Jasper Nato a lodger. They are listed as married and living on Ave. S1/2 in Galveston, Texas. ^[4]

John Hamilton died on 28 Mar 1990 in Coleman, Texas. She married Marshall N. Tutt on 19 Nov 1994 in Coleman, Texas. ^[5]

She died on 1 Aug 2011 at Valley View Care Center in Fort Worth, Texas. ^[6]

There was a private graveside service at 1:00 directed by Adams-Grahan Funeral Home in Anson. She is buried in White Chapel Cemetery in Coleman, Texas next to John Hamilton. ^[7]
