Biography

Marie Elizabeth Bouteillier was born circa 1753 and baptized September 2, 1753, the daughter of Jean and Françoise Bouteillier, shortly after they emigrated to Nova Scotia^{[1] [2][3] [4] [5]}

On December 29, 1776, she married Jean-Christophe (Joseph) Dauphinée, another early Lunenburg settler^{[6] [7]} . Their children included:

1. James Nicholas born December 7, 1777, who died December 14^[7]
2. Mary Elizabeth, born November 9, 1778, who married john Joseph Bouteillier in 1798^[7]
3. John Joseph, born October 31, 1780^[7]
4. Sarah Elizabeth, born November 11, 1782, who married Michael Reuther (Rhuda) in 1803^[7]
5. John George, born October 6, 1784, who died before 1789^[7]
6. George Frederick, born March 17, 1786, who died in infancy^[7]
7. George Frederick, born July 11, 1787^[7]
8. John Frederick, born March 2, 1789, who married Mary Elizabeth Bouteillier at Chester in 1814^[7]
