Biography

Kathleen Gambier Bousfield was born on 28 November 1855^[1]. She was the eldest daughter of Reverend George Benjamin Richings Bousfield and Georgiana Gambier.

In the England Census of 1861, Kathleen Gambree Bousfield (aged 5) was recorded living in Brighton, Sussex with her father George Benjamin Bousfield, a 36 year old Clergyman (Methodist - without care of souls), her mother Georgina Mary Bousfield (40) and her three siblings Lilian Bousfield (4), Bertha Mary Bousfield (2) and Robert William Bousfield (1). There were also three servants in the household.

By 1871, Kathleen G Bousfield (aged 15) was living with her family in Wentworth Place, Elswick, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England with two household staff.

Kathleen G. Bousfield (aged 25) was recorded living with her father George B R Bousfield (56 and a Clergyman without care of Souls), her mother Georgiana M. H. Bousfield (61) and her siblings Bertha M. Bousfield (22), Hilda Bousfield (19), Evelyn Bousfield (18) and Charles G. Bousfield (14) at 5, Abbey Road, St Marylebone, Marylebone, London & Middlesex in the 1881 England Census.

Her father George died on 15 January 1897 at age 72. Her mother Georgiana died on 18 November 1902 at about age 82.

Kathleen G. Bousfield (aged 55 and of Private Means) was recorded as the head of the household at The Crossways, Avenue Rd, Torquay, Devon in the 1911 England Census. Also in the household were two servants.

In the 1939 England and Wales Register, Kathleen G Bousfield (b. 28 Nov 1853) was recorded living at Newlyn, Barton Road, Guildford, Surrey, England.

Occupation: Unpaid Domestic Duties

She passed away on 11 March 1943, unmarried^[2].
