Biography
Alfred Bourgeois, son of Andre Bourgeois and Euphrosine Artemise Rivette, was born on 7 March 1828 in Iberville Parish, Louisiana, United States. He was baptized on 26 September 1828 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in St. Gabriel. His godparents were Andre Bourgeois and Marie Clemence Rivet.[1]
He married Marie Eleonore LePage, daughter of Leon LePage and Marie Ulalie Vige, on 19 May 1851 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine, Iberville Parish. Witnesses were Andre Bourgeois and Marie Celina Bourgeois.[2]
He may have married second Marie Elodie Lambremont, daughter of Pierre Cleandre Lambremont and Marie Felonie Breaux, about 1855 (estimated) in Iberville Parish. They had several children.
He probably died before 1870.

- 1870 census (support that Alfred died before 1870?): Amades (Amadeo?) Bourgeois, age 13, living with Elodie Bourgeois (age 40), Felonise Bourgeois (age 12), and Mary P Bourgeois (age 11). Plaquemine, Iberville parish, Ward 7, La., page 28, dwelling #269, family #268 (the number 268 is probably a transposition error and should have been family #286)
