I was born in 1968 to James Borserio and Beverley (McCarthy) Borserio. Born in the Sunshine hospital in Melbourne, Victoria, (No longer exists) and I am an only child.

I have one son Bradley Borserio.

I grew up in Newport West & went to school there & attended Secondary College in WIlliamstown. Grew up on the beach very much so. Apart from starting school in prep in Ultima (as my father had to complete 6 months to become an A Class train driver in the country).

I went to work as an apprentice jockey in Caulfield (was going to be an archaeologist till I fell in love with racing - Still have a passion in regards to History). In my 20's was still involved with racing but went onto be Fundraising manager for the Riding For Disabled in state office & worked part time as Moonee Valley racecourse, Flemington racecourse, trained racehorses & worked for Wittingslow Amusements with the money side & now in 50's and still train racehorses.

When my son was growing up lived in Ascot Vale, Melbourne & in 2000 made a huge move to the country in NSW - Wagga Wagga. (I still miss Victoria but I am not far from the border) Now have a property outside of Wagga Wagga - training racehorses and following my other pursuits/passions.

Unfortunately both my parents have passed & I discovered my passion for family history. This purely started from my son asking me who the Borserio was that was a spray painter in Eaglehawk (my dad came from Eaglehawk) - Funnily I still don't know how the spray painter fits in!!

With my father coming from Eaglehawk & my mother Ballarat - it was a great combination to get into the Family history. Here I was thinking okay I was just Irish Italian but I am proud to say I am at least 70% Cornish & near related directly & indirectly to all Pioneers in Eaglehawk cemetery!! So far have found 18 relatives that came over on the S.S. Great Britain to settle in Australia & have worked with the museum in Bristol, England to have this all go down on paper (a record apparently).

Through doing my family history one the best discoveries were that I am related through marriage to my best friend of 20 years!! & then found I was related to my other best friend!! Small world!!

My hobbies include training racehorses, family history (stickler for getting the correct information), going on ghost tours all around the world, scrapbooking, traveling overseas when I can and watching all the British cop shows!! So many things and not enough time

Hi Michelle,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Michelle Borserio - the headstone shows that their infant son Harold passed away aged 3 weeks. There must have been another Harold born after him. (Regarding Harold Borserio
