Biography

Ernest (Boon) Boone Sr. is a part of US Black heritage.

Ernest Boon was born on 2 Aug 1927 in Hamilton Township, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, United States, son of Ikey Boon and Alice Dancy.

The 1930 Census^[1] shows him at age 2 in the home of his parents in Hamilton Township, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. The family is using the surname Stidham or Stedham. Ernest's brother William continues with that name while most of the others revert to Boon.

His World War II Draft Registration Card^[2] shows him living in Kellyville, Creek County, Oklahoma, working for the Frisco Railroad in West Tulsa, Oklahoma.

His employment card from Frisco Railroad also names his parents! ^[3]

The 1950 Census^[4] shows him at age 22 in the home of his father and step-mother in Hamilton Township, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma.

He married Pearl Hayes.

He died on 22 Jun 1981 in California, ^{[5] [6] [7]} and is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, Orange County, California.^[8]
