In 1892, Jim's parents had moved to Windsor Terrace, a small, rural village on the outskirts of Flatbush.[1] In 1900, he lived with his parents at 530 18th Street in Windsor Terrace.[2]

No records found indicating that Jim ever married or had children. In addition, in email discussion with his great-niece, L.A., she stated that her family was close with "Jimmy" and confirmed he never married or had children. Her family paid for his burial when we died.
