Opal Fern Blanton was born on May 12, 1924, in Claude, Armstrong, Texas, United States, daughter of Walter Ray Blanton (1892–1957) and Minnie Amie Nichols (1900–1954).
Opal died on February 4, 2000, in Alexandria, Rapides, Louisiana, United States, aged 75. She is buried in Alexandria National Cemetery, Pineville, Louisiana. [1]
