Biography
When Elza Bland was born on 5 March 1798, in Edgefield, South Carolina, United States, his father, Wormley Bland, was 27 and his mother, Sarah Turner, was 28.
He married Damaris Barnes on June 6, 1842 in Dallas, Alabama.
He second married Sarah Luellen Neyland on 19 December 1866, in Richmond, Georgia, United States.
He fought for the Confederacy during the United States Civil War.
He died on 25 November 1878, in Orrville, Dallas, Alabama, United States, at the age of 80, and was buried in the Bland Family Cemetery, Orrville, Dallas, Alabama, United States.
