Biography

When Harrison Jones Blan was born on 23 July 1818, in Georgia, his father, William Blan, was 46 and his mother, Elizabeth Wood, was 43. The 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses list his birthplace as Georgia.

He married Samantha Thompson on 16 February 1840, in Randolph, Georgia, United States. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 6 daughters.

He lived in District 8, Randolph, Georgia in 1850 and in Quitman, Georgia in 1860, 1870, and 1880.
