DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with E. or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with E.:

Have you taken a DNA test? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

Welcome to WikiTree and DNA.

My name is John Kingman. I am a Coordinator with the WikiTree DNA Project.

When you you are ready to supplement your part of our One Big Tree with DNA test matches, please check out the DNA Help category page to see all the DNA help that is available, and the How to Get Started page in particular.

You may see some relatives show up in your list of "DNA Connections" on your profile if they have added a DNA test to their profile. These DNA Connections are possible DNA test matches, they are not sufficient for marking parental relationships as "confirmed with DNA" without providing a DNA Confirmation source citation providing details of the DNA match.

To document that your genealogy sources are confirmed by DNA test matches, be sure to follow the guidance at the DNA Confirmation help page. A profile should not be marked "confirmed with DNA" without source documentation for both genealogy and DNA test matching. Also, please try out the DNA Confirmation Citation Maker, I strongly recommend it for creating and/or validating your DNA confirmation source citations.

If you have questions or need assistance, feel free to ask on the G2G Forum using the Tag "DNA" and/or "DNA_Confirmation".

Happy hunting!

Hi E,

I’m Susie the new leader of the England Project. We are contacting all existing members of the project to find out how you are currently involved, and how you would like to be involved moving forward. Please have a look at the England Project page for more information, and then contact either myself or Gillian to let us know what you’d like to do, or if you have any questions. We can then list your interests, help you join the team in the Google group forum for England, and give you any help you might need to get going. If we don’t hear back from you we’ll assume you no longer want to be a part of the England Project at this time.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,

Susie :-)

Hi E. A.,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.

It looks like England would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag England will help you get updates about activity for that project.

You can look at the list of active projects to see if one fits your needs.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
