Biography

John was born before 1839. He is the son of Robert Bishop and Hannah Bantem. John, son of Robert Bishop & Hannah, was baptised on 1 December 1839 in Upper Clatford, Hampshire, England.[1].

In the 1841 census John (age 2) was in South Charford, Hampshire, England.[2].

In the 1851 census John (age 13) was the son of Robert Bishop in Providence Place, Millbrook, Hampshire, England.[3].

On 28/4/1853 he arrived at Fremantle aboard the "Palestine" with his parents and siblings[4]
