Biography
Mary (Biddlecomb) Bowles was born in England.
Mary Biddlecomb, the daughter of William Biddlecomb and his wife Mary Piddle, was baptised at Holy Trinity in Gosport on the 29th of August 1764[1].
She married William Bowles of Ashlands on the 16th of October 1799, by Licence[2]:

- Gosport
- SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19.
- Tuefday was married here Mifs Biddlecomb, of this town, to Mr. Bowles, of Afhlands, near Southwick.[3]
Their only daughter, Mary, was born the following year on 7th of July and was baptised at St Nicholas, Boarhunt on the 25th of July[4].
Sadly Mary died two weeks after the birth of her daughter, on the 28th of July 1800[5]. (Her burial date is recorded as 25th of July 1800[6].)
