Biography

Martha Bichard was born in 1808 at Guernsey, Channel Islands. She married Jean Bichard and they had 5 children, 3 sons and 2 daughters. Martha died in April 1839 at the age of 31, leaving Jean as a widower alone. Details from Martha's death record list the following ages for her children; 11yrs, 8 yrs, 6yrs, 4yrs and her youngest child, daughter Rachel was only 2 years old! Martha was buried 24 April 1839.^[1]
