Biography

Forest Bush Benson was born on 24 May 1863 in Williamstown, Grant, Kentucky, United States[1], son of Zachariah Benson and Catherine Renneckar.

In the 1870 census Forrest (age 6) was in the home of his parents, Zach L Benson (age 44) & Cath E Benson (age 39) with sibling John Thomas (age 4) in Cordova, Grant, Kentucky.[2]

In the 1880 census Forest (age 17), was in the home of his parents Zachariah Bensons (age 54) & Kate Benson (age 49) with siblings John T (age 14), Eddie (age 9) and Mathew (age 6) in Williamstown, Grant, Kentucky.[3]

Forest married Jennie Norton on 15 Dec 1897 in Dry Ridge, Grant, Kentucky. They were parents of three known children.

In the 1900 census Forest (age 37), wife Jennie (age 33) and son George W (age 1) were in Magisterial District 1, Grant County, Kentucky.[4] Also in the home was Forest's widowed mother, Katherine Benson (age 69).

In the 1910 census Forest (age 46), wife Jennie (age 42) and children George W (age 11), Claud T (age 9) and Lucy C (age 4) were in District 1, Grant County, Kentucky.[5]

In the 1920 census Forest (age 56), wife Jennie (age 52) and children George (age 21), Thomas (age 19) and Lucy (age 15) were in Williamstown, Grant County, Kentucky.[6]

In the 1930 census Forest (age 66), wife Jennie (age 22) and daughter Lucy (age 25) were in Timberlake, Kenton, Kentucky.[7]

In the 1940 census Forest (age 76) and wife Jennie (age 72) were in Magisterial District 7, Kenton County, Kentucky.[8]

In the 1950 census Forest (age 86) and wife Jennie (age 82) were in Erlanger, Kenton, Kentucky.[9]

Forrest died (age 86) on 23 December 1950 in Maysville, Mason, Kentucky.[10][11] and was buried in Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, Grant, Kentucky.[12]
