Wilhelm Behler was born on March 24, 1882 in Horneburg, Kreis Recklinghausen, Provinz Westfalen, Preußen, Deutschland, son of Gottfried Behler (1847–1927) and Francisca Bernadine Fleitmann (1848–1916).[1]
Wilhelm (29) married Antonette Gellenbeck (25) (born on March 9, 1887 in Horneburg, Nordrhein-Westfalen; daughter of Johann Bernard Heinrich Gellenbeck) on March 14, 1912 in Horneburg.[2] [1]
Wilhelm died on October 4, 1918 in Glogau, Niederschlesien, Polen, aged 36.[3]
Wilhelm Behler was presumably founding member of the volunteer fire brigade of Horneburg in 1909.[4]
In the 1th World War he fought for the Prussian Army, where he had the Rank Vizefeldwebel.[5] [6] During his service was lightly wounded in 1917. [5] He died in service in 1918. [6][3]
