I welcome others who might want to enhance the profiles I've begun or adopt if they are family members. In the event of my departure from this life, I ask that all who want to carry on with the profiles I've started, to please do so!
2Cor. 4:6
Kay was born in 1949. Yes, I'm a "49'er", and if I'd had to pick a time to be born, I think it was then!
I've found out that I have a pretty diverse, rich heritage, and am amazed at the people (family) that I've come to know through my amateur genealogical researching.
Real people, with real life joys and tragedys, that like us all, try to make the best of the life we've been given.
Things I never knew or only somewhat, then being touched by the stories that emerged that made me understand more, who I was and where I came from.
I could not have had this experience without the curiosity that has always been a part of me!
I am grateful to my Grandma Marie for her scrapbook that left enough newsclippings, and other pieces of puzzles, to help as I began this journey. Also for her's and other close relatives photo albums, which I most gladly shared by providing copies to all of family that had interest.
I feel this "passion" to find answers, is in the blood, and I hope to continue to discover more as I'm given the privilege. (Lord willing!)
p.s. To my cohort, with the same passion, Karen, thank you from my heart and soul!
This expanded my tree generations back to pre-Revolutionary War/Colonial days and to France. (See Maxwell-15632 and Duvall-177.) Entry date, Sept. 13, 2023.

Because of this wonderful genealogy site, I am finding so many interesting relatives and notables.
Among them are:
(Catherine and Thomas were 7th cousins, 9x removed.)
p.s.: "I feel that this passion, many of us share, must be of importance, as it is in God's holy word."
If my only meaningful achievement is to be a reflection of Christ and finish my race well, it is more than enough.

Keep up the excellent work.
I don't see a close link right now, but maybe further back in her Haines side. Maybe Matlack-5
Follow-up: Has Joann Haines reached out to you?

But just now, while researching to try to link John Carman Haines and reading a history of Portage and Summit Counties, Ohio, I read among a list of a bunch of children born to Joseph Haines and Elizabeth Carman was “Mary Ann, wife of Jeremiah Koon.” Hurrah! I will message Joe Holloway.
Thanks for your extra work.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
