Your Watchlist has 7846 profiles. This is very large. Our systems are designed to handle 5,000. Contributing to more than 5,000 profiles is great (the community thanks you for it!) but don't feel you have to keep so many on your Watchlist. Despite the terminology, there is no shame in "orphaning" Open profiles. :-) This invites others to share responsibility. Use the Bulk Trusted List changes tool to remove yourself from some profiles. Take a look at How to Manage Your Watchlist for help.
I think it is a shame that Wikitree has so many orphaned profiles.
It's not a good reflection on Wikitree. Looks like no one cares enough to manage the account.
Just my opinion, Diane
I rejected the merge of two William Marrs because I know for certain these are two different people, sons of two different Lawrence Marrs. I spent quite a bit of time with a Marr researcher using documents to sort out the two conflated families. Unfortunately, people are still mixing these two families up all over the place. What I don't know 100% certain, so I sent the researcher a message just now, is which William Marr married Anna and had children. I'll let you know what he says. I have additional documents as mentioned above that I'll also add to the Lawrence Marr profiles as well. In future, before detaching parents from a profile you don't manage, please always consult with the Profile Manager since that's a pretty major change. We could have collaborated and talked all this out. Thanks, Emma
Congratulations on making more than 1,000 contributions to WikiTree for the Month of May. We all appreciate your efforts to make our Shared Tree the best it can be. Keep up the great work and THANK YOU!

I see that you are using Ancestry family trees as your source. Particularly on pre-1700 profiles, this is not an acceptable source.
Please review Jillaine Smith's excellent page on sources at: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Jillaine%27s_Dream_Source_Help_Page
And thank you for your contributions to our tree.

Please let me know if you have any questions! I am happy to help!

You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree.
Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.
Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.
You can also meet some of our members by joining in the fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum Have you discovered any real characters in your branches?

Welcome to WikiTree!! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as one collaborative team!
What brings you to us? Do you have research youd like to share? When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests with your tags.
If your not sure about tags, add one for a surname your interested in and then maybe a country or state. Tell us why the tags you chose are important to you. Don't forget to click on the "volunteer" button.
Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
Dorothy, Wikitree Greeter
