Death and Burial
Rebecca died on December 9, 1946 in Zanesville, Muskingum, aged 84. [18]
Obituary
THE ZANESVILLE SIGNAL, Tuesday, December 10, 1946: Death Summons Mrs. Howell, 83; Mrs. Rebecca Barnett Howell, 83, of 310 Bailey street, died last night at the McKinley Rest home following a lingering illness (according to her death certificate, she had bronchitis). She had been a patient at the home since Nov. 3.
Mrs. Howell, who was born in Noble county on April 3, 1862, had resided in Zanesville since 1906. Her husband, Arthur Howell, died in 1931.
Surviving are two sons, Glenn Howell, of 141 North Mead street, and John Howell of Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. T.B. Roseberry and Mrs. E.H. Young, both of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Daniel Maxwell of Licking View, a sister, Mrs. Ella Straub of Byesville; 33 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Hearing-Bryan-DeLong funeral home.
