She was resident at 89 Tottenham Court-road, Middlesex when she passed away on 28 August 1918, unmarried^[9]. Caroline's Obituary was printed in the Annual Monitor for 1919-1920 (an Obituary of the members of the Society of Friends in Great Britain and Ireland, from October 1, 1917, to September 30, 1919): CAROLINE BALE .. 76 .. 28 8 1918 .. Tottenham Court Road, London^[10].

Her Will was proved on 1 February 1919 at Middlesex by her twin brother Frederick Bale, umbrella manufacturer^[11]. Effects: £237 2s. 4d.
