Biography

Henry Baldwin was born on November 3, 1804 in Union County, Tennessee, United States. He is the son of Henry Baldwin and Susannah Maulsby. He was the sixth of eight children.

His family lived in Tennessee on a farm three miles southwest of the Meeting House at Lost Creek in Union County. He attended school in Knox County, Tennessee.

He married Charlotte Wear Armstrong on February 9, 1829 in Knox, Tennessee.^[1][2] They had seven children, all born in Tennessee.

1. Robert Elsner Baldwin was born in 1830.
2. Euel Eratus Baldwin was born in 1832.
3. Armstrong Wear Baldwin was born in 1834.
4. Adison Thompson Baldwin was born in 1837.
5. Susan E Baldwin was born in 1838.
6. Moses Marcellus Baldwin was born in 1844.
7. James Henry Baldwin was born in 1846.

Henry passed away at an age of sixty-six on August 24, 1871 in Missouri.^[3]

According to other sources, he passed away on January 1, 1883 in Tennessee.
