Upon their marriage, the couple settled in Unity, NH, where they had ten children: [3]

After residing for 41 years in Unity, NH, where he was a farmer, Jesse moved to Claremont, NH in March 1839. [4] He had lost the use of his lower limbs for active labors, but was still able to provide useful service to the community as a Justice of the Peace. The family was recorded on the 1800, [5] 1810, [6] 1820 [7] and 1830 [8] censuses for Unity, NH and the 1840 census for Claremont. [9]
Jesse passed away in 1849 of dysentery, in Claremont, at age 74. He was buried in Pleasant Street Cemetery of Claremont. [10] His wife would live another 5 years, until being buried at his side in 1854. [11]
