Lander McCoy "Coy" Bacon was a professional football player in the National Football League. He played as a defensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Washington Redskins. He played in the Pro Bowl three times. Although sacks weren't an official statistic during much of his pro career, researchers have credited him with 130.[1]
Lander McCoy "Coy" Bacon was born in Trigg County, Kentucky on August 30th 1943. He was the son of Bennie Bacon and Susan Mae Thomas.[2][3] He died December 22nd, 2008 in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio.[3][4] He is buried at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, Lawrence County.[5]
