I think there might be a mistake. My Joseph Gooby is related to family that immigrated from Christchurch, Eng and were mentioned (?) in thee Doomsday Book. They settled in Newfoundland to build a future. Eventually, James Ingram Gooby moved to East Boston, MA. His son married my great grand mother, Mary Hoffman Gooby
If you're referring to this Joseph Gooby: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gooby-68 , it would appear to be a different one than the one you're researching.

Hi Amy,

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is a great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
