Francis Bacon was born on 28th October 1909 at 63 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin. [1] [2] He was the son of Captain Anthony Edward Mortimer and Christinia Winifred (née Firth) Bacon. He was recorded in Kennycourt, County Kildare on the 1911 Census. [3]` He began painting in 1929 [4] or 1930. [5] He died of a heart attack on 28th April 1998 in Madrid, [4] [5] [6] while visiting his "last great love," José Capelo. [7]

Francis is my great great uncle, and I want to know more about him and his life. I have a few of his books, and one of his paintings sits in a gallery close to me. I want to be able to update this family tree.
