Hi,

We hope you can join the MidAtlantic Team for the 2023 Source-a-thon. It will start 8 am EDT on Friday, September 29th and end at 8 am on Monday, October 2nd. The Source-a-thon is different from the Connect-a-thon in that we will be improving existing profiles. To register for the Source-a-thon, please answer this post:

https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1628429/register-now-for-the-2023-source-a-thon

Also, different is that most of the prizes given out at the hang outs are donated by members so there are a wide variety. If you would like to look at what has been donated so far or to donate a prize yourself:

Not sure if you know about the Badcock-Babcock Y DNA study managed by Kent Babcock. He posted about it a while ago. It's free to join if you want to see the ongoing discussion in the comment feed and there have been some cool DNA discoveries. If you have or can get DNA results for a Big Y test which extremely specific on the Y lineage, that is for sure the most needed contribution to the project, but you can join and participate even without DNA results.

Hi –

We are happy to have you as a member of WikiTree. I hope you’re enjoying being here.

I'm a member of the Mentor project, and I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can help you with?

Shirley – WikiMentor

Hello Again,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?

I want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try!

Hi, Robert

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.

It looks like England would be a good fit with the tag you entered.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Thanks,Butch ~ Wiki Messenger
