Biography
Karl Aumuller was born in 1829 in Nassau, Germany,[1] the son of George Aumuller and Anna Maria Aumuller (nee Lang).[2][3][4]
He married Frances Harriet Holmes on 20 July 1876 at Echo Hills, Queensland, Australia.[5] Their children were:[6]
- Adelaide Harriet Sarah Aumuller (1875–1970)
- George Edward Aumuller (1877–1947)
- Karl Henry Aumuller (1878–1965)
- Frederick William Aumuller (1881–1926)
- Arthur Aumuller (1889–1907)
- Eva Florence Aumuller (1893–?)
Karl was a saddler and he managed sheep stations in Queensland and New South Wales.[1] He was mayor of Cairns Municipal Council in 1898.[1]
Karl died in Cairns on 24 November 1900.[3][6] His remains were interred at the McLeod Street Pioneer Cemetery, Cairns.[7]
