Raymond R. was born on 22 December 1905 in Momence, Illinois. He was the son of Walter Bule Atwood and Rose Ella Bishir. When Raymond R. was 20 he married on 18 September 1926 in Rensselaer, Indiana.

Raymond R. died at the age of 35 on 6 September 1941 in Chicago Heights, Illinois and was buried in Shrontz Cem, Momence, Illinois, USA. ^[1]
