Biography

Mildred was born in Kingston Parish, Virginia in 1752 [1]:

Name: Mildred Armistead
Gender: Female
Birth Date: 11 Feb 1762
Father: Robert Armistead
Mother: Caty Armistead

She passed away in 1805.

Research Notes

There is confusion about whether this is the Milly who married Isaac Redding. Mildred Redding (abt.1752-abt.1796), daughter of William Redding, is also linked to Isaac Redding's profile as spouse. More research is needed to ascertain which is the correct spouse.

Redding-1822 and Armstead-284 appear to represent the same person because: It's a little complicated, but both profiles are for the same person. Read the biographies and notes.

I agree that these represent the same person, but can only agree with the merge if the direction is reversed so that Redding-1822 is the surviving profile, There is no evidence that Milley's LNAP was Armstead. Since I cannot reverse the direction, I am rejecting this merge request and re-proposing a merge of Armstead-284 into Redding-1822.

Thank you for proposing this Joel.

Armstead-284 and Redding-1822 do not represent the same person because: Redding-1822 needs to be the surviving profile. Reinitiating merge in correct direction
Armstead-284 and Redding-1822 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicates. Redding is the correct LNAB, therefore Redding-1822 needs to be the surviving profile after the merge.
Armstead-284 and Redding-1822 do not represent the same person because: Rejecting this merge until additional sources can be located. I received a private message from a descendant of Milly Armstead who was firm in their belief that Armstead is the correct last name, and that she was the daughter of Robert Armstead and Catherine C. Gwarmy. The current profile for Milly Armstead-284 has her connected to William Redding as father. Merging Armstead-284 and Redding-1822 will further complicate the issue.
Armstead-284 and Redding-1822 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicates. Since Mildred or Millie was the daughter of William REDDING (per the Armstead-284 bio), it is unlikely that her LNAB was Armstead. Appears that her LNAB was Redding and that she married a Redding.
Armstead-284 and Redding-1822 do not represent the same person because: After going back and reading notes, rejecting this match based on previous emails from her descendants. Also removing William Redding as Father of Mildred Armtead-284 to avoid further confusion.
Reading-329 and Armstead-284 appear to represent the same person because: they share a similar birth year and the same spouse, Isaac Redding.
