Biography

Thomas Armstead was born in 1850 in Yorkshire, England[1], the son of William Armstead and Mary Widdop.

The ship, Conway set sail from Greenock, Scotland on 15 Mar 1854 with William (aged 29) and Mary (27) ARMSTEAD and their son, Thomas (2) among it's assisted immigrant passengers and arrived in Geelong, Victoria on 17 Jun 1854[2][3][4]

He married Jessie McGlashan in 1874 in Victoria, Australia.[5] Their children were:

Thomas died in 1931 in Essendon, Victoria[6]
