Sam (Armistead) Armstead is a part of US Black heritage.
In 1870 Sam Amistead (age 67, Farm Labour) lived in Buffalo, Prince Edward County, Virginia with his wife Miranda (52, Keeping House) and five children: Jane (26), Scott (13), Paul (10), Ida (4), and Robt L (3 months) - the nearest post office was Prospect; Sam was born in Virginia; his race was black.[1]
