Jane Charlotte Anderson, daughter of James Anderson & Margaret Jafferson, was born on 11 May 1846 and baptised on 14 May 1846 in St Vigeans, Forfarshire, Scotland.[1]
In the 1851 census Jane (age 4) was in Inverbrothock, Forfarshire (Angus), Scotland. She was a scholar and her father worked for the Sheriff Court.[2][3]
