- Accident was on Monday the 19 Jan 1846 at the railway bridge under construction over the river May in Forteviot, Perth, Scotland.[1]
- By the 12 Feb 1846 a newspaper article indicates he has passed away leaving a widow and several children.[2]
- Died before 1851 Scottish Census where his wife is noted as being a widow. She is also noted as being a widow on the 1881 census.
