Mary's father died late in 1841.
By March 30th 1851, Mary was living with her mother and siblings in Eccleston in Prescot, Lancashire. She was a plate glass smoother.

Jonathan Marsden, age 22, son of John Marsden, married Mary Anders, 26, daughter of James Anders, on 9 Oct 1853 in Eccleston, Lancashire, England.

By April 7th 1861, Jonathan Marsden (31) and wife Mary Marsden (35) were living in St Helen, Lancashire, with children Mary (4) and Alice (2). He was a stone mason.
