It was recorded in the vestry book of St. Ann's Parish... At a meeting of Overseers of the Poor for the County of Albemarle the 14th day of November 1788 ~To John Alphin for Ransom Alphin....£10
It is again recorded in the vestry book...5th day of September 1791 ~To Peter Clarkson £9 for Ransom Alphin.
