DNA
mtDNA Results W5a2[10]
The Mayflower DNA Project lists one matrilineal (all female line) descendant of Mary. It is presumed this individual has taken the full mtDNA test, which tests every single base pair of the mitochondrial DNA.[11] FTDNA has assigned this individual to the W5a2 mtDNA haplogroup. Today this rare lineage is present at trace frequencies in the populations of Norway, Scotland, Ireland, and Germany.[12] Given the locations this haplogroup is found, it is possible Mary's family may have lived near Scrooby and participated in the early Separatist Church at Scrooby Manor.

We plan on featuring Mary in the Connection Finder alongside Massasoit, the Example Profile of the Week, on November 25th. Between now and then is a good time to take a look at the sources and biography to see if there are updates and improvements that need made, especially those that will bring it up to WikiTree Style Guide standards. We know it's short notice, so don't fret too much. Just do what you can. A Team member will check on the profile Tuesday and make changes as necessary.
Allerton-166 and Allerton-6 appear to represent the same person because: Suggesting that this unattached Mary Allerton with the correct death date be merged with the Mayflower Passenger Mary Allerton.
Hi, Rebecca! Is there any chance you could provide more information about this individual? The birth and death dates don't add up, and there is no other clue as to how she connects to any other person.
There are several Mayflower profiles that utilized the Profiles from Plimoth.org - the URL's changed when their partnership changed from the Smithsonian to NEHGS. So, I've updated these as they are located.
The source listed as #S00002: Record for Thomas Cushman wasn't linked to anything - from GEDcom import. So, I'll go back and add some inline citations.
Someone had thrown in some extra children and I outlined them per A Genealogical Profile of Thomas Cushman, (Plimoth.org: accessed 2016). Plymouth Ancestors: A collaboration between Plimoth Plantation and the New England Historic Genealogical Society www.PlymouthAncestors.org.
