Ronald died in South Australia on 11 August 1988 at the age of 77 years.^[4]

Ronald's remains were cremated and interred at the Centennial Park Cemetery in Pasadena, South Australia on 31 August 1988 following a memorial service held on 15 August 1988.^[5][6]
