Biography

Estella "Stella" Alden was the daughter of Charles Alden and Susan (Peterson) Alden, probably born at Livermore, Maine.^[1] In 1870, she was living in her parents' household at Livermore, Maine.^[2] Her gravestone gives her birth date as 17 Feb 1860,^[3] which agrees with the date on her death record.^[4]

The 1928 history of Livermore, Maine, says that Stella Alden moved to Kennebunk, Maine,^[1] where a joint gravestone for John Robert Haley, M. D., and Estella Alden Haley stands at the Hope Cemetery. The stone says that she died on 26 Aug 1922.^[3] She died on that date at Apopka, Florida.^[5]
