Biography

Sarah Alden, the daughter of Isaac Alden and Mehitable Allen, was born September 24, 1688 at Bridgewater, Plymouth, Plymouth Colony. She died on July 4, 1774 (aged 85) in Bridgewater, after it became part of the Province of Massachusetts. Her burial location is unknown.^[1].

Sarah married twice. Her first husband was Seth Brett. They were married on October 13, 1712 at Bridgewater and had five children - Samuel, Silas, Sarah, Simeon, and Seth. After the death of Seth Brett in the winter of 1722 (of small pox?), she married Deacon Recompense Cary in 1726 and had more children. A daughter, Abigail Cary was born to this couple.
