Biography

James William Albritton was born on November 2, 1820, in Randolph County, Georgia, son of Asa Albritton (1797–1880) and Elizabeth Williams (~1800–~1880).

James (age 21) married Sarah Adams (age 19) (born in 1821 in Johnston, North Carolina, USA; daughter of Jesse Allen Adams Jr. and Mary Elizabeth (Bryant) Adams) on November 18, 1841, in Randolph County, Georgia.[1] Their children were:

  2. Byrd J. Albritton (1844-1862)
  3. Eliza Albritton (1846– )
  4. Cornelius William Albritton (1849-1910)
  5. Enos Bryant Albritton (1852-1928)
  6. Julie Albritton (1854-)
  7. Enoch Lee Albritton (1857–1905)
  8. Lemuel Albritton (1862-)

In 1860, James (age 39), his wife and children live in Henry County, Alabama.[2]

James died on January 10, 1910, in Slocomb, Geneva, Alabama, aged 89. He was buried in Burns Assembly of God Church Cemetery, Slocomb, Geneva County, Alabama.[3][4]
