Alice Jane Albritton was born on October 8, 1821, in Milledgevile, Baldwin, Georgia, daughter of Asa Albritton (1797–1880) and Elizabeth Williams (~1800–~1880).
Alice (age 20) married Lewis Nashwell Adams (age 27); son of Jesse Allen Adams Jr. and Mary Elizabeth (Bryant) Adams; on November 20, 1841.[1] Their children were:
Sometime between 1848 and 1853, Lewis Nashwell Adams moved his family from Georgia to Alabama.
In 1860, Alice (age 38) lived with her husband and children in Barbour County, Alabama, where they would remain. Their 9 children range in age from 1 to 17.[2]
