(Mar 1911). DIVORCE. Lilian Jane Aitchison sought a dissolution of her marriage with Wm. Ernest Aitchison, on the ground of misconduct and adultery. The parties were married at Coolgardie, in 1897, and afterwards lived at Fremantle. She went afterwards to Kalgoorlie by herself, and came back to Perth, in July last, and found the respondent living with a girl named Ruby O'Connor. Evidence was given by several witnesses as to the respondent's drunken habits and cruel behaviour to his wife while living in Kalgoorlie. The petitioner asked to be allowed to put questions to the witness, but as he had not filed an answer to the petition, the request was not granted. A decree nisi was granted.
