Luigi Adamo was born November 17, 1890 in San Nicola dell'Alto, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy, the son of Francesco Adamo.
He asked that his brother Joe Adams (born Giuseppe Adamo) be the person notified in the event of his death and gave Joe's address as 97 Washington Street, Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.
Luigi was working for the Ohio Fuel and Gas Company in Sharonville, Hamilton, Ohio when he registered for the First World War draft on June 5, 1917 and stated that he had been a private in the army in Italy for 2 years before coming to the USA.[1]
Private Adams was Killed in Action on October 14, 1918 in France and was buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial in Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.[2][3]
