Hello G2G community / Holland Surname,

I'm nearing a huge milestone of being able to confirm and document all of my 5thGGP ancestors, and of course I'm running into another mystery of the Mother and Father of Elias Holland:

Is anybody here familiar with Edgecombe County, North Carolina "Holland" family lines that may point me to something than the obvious?

Familysearch.org (FS) has the following information available which I hope may be of use 

As far as I can ascertain the parents of Elias Holland were

Father: Charles Holland FS ID LDHW-ZYV born 2 April 1758 Frederick, Maryland, British Colonial America – died 16 March 1848 Clarkson, Webster, Mississippi, United States – buried March 1848 New Hope Cemetery, Webster, Mississippi, United States

Mother: Sarah Hughes FS ID LDHW-892 born April 1775 Abbeville, South Carolina, United States – died 3 April 1804 Greenwood, South Carolina, United States – married about 1789 Abbeville, South Carolina 

This union produced 10 recorded  children 7 boys & 3 girls Elias was the 2^nd oldest 

The Holland line can be traced back to Henry Holland FS ID G3PJ-D3D born 1461 – died 1502

Thanks for the suggestion.  Records are sparse in some of these cases, but given DNA matches some things are now clear.

I'm certain about Berry Lewis Holland, being my ancestor, and I'm certain about Charles Holland being the ancestor of Berry Lewis, as I have 33 cousin matches in Ancestry that lead only to Charles Holland as a common ancestor.
 

I'm just not certain that Elias Holland is the right person between Charles Holland and Berry Lewis.  Still looking for some conclusive records to tie Berry to Elias and Elias to Charles.  It's odd that due to DNA matches, I can be confident of Charles being my ancestor, but not necessarily Elias...
