The source being cited is a genealogy compiled in 1723 referring to people born over 200 years earlier, which is often not a reliable source of information.

Sometimes for this Tudor or earlier period, that is the only source we have, but I'm reluctant to make those changes without some research into whether sources more contemporary to the time period can be found.
