Tom, do you have some additional information. Where did she live? Androscoggin County?
Thank you T. Minot, Maine was in Cumberland County at the time (now Androscoggin). I have strong circumstantial evidence that Jane was the dau of John and Elizabeth (Matthews) Glover of Nottingham West (now Hudson) NH and New Gloucester, Maine. They were the only Glovers in the area and their 1790 census household profile conforms to what I have learned of the family. Two sons, John and Samuel can be connected to John and Elizabeth by primary sources (a New Gloucester birth record for John and a Windham bp record for Samuel). Three females are identified on the 1790 census - John's wife Elizabeth and two others. One is probably Jane Glover of New Gloucester who married David Small, Jr of Minot in 1795. The other remains unidentified. I would like to know if there is any stronger evidence to link Jane with John and Elizabeth (Matthews) Glover.

Thanks!

Regards,

Tom
