Year-end/Year-start Idea: Update your own profile!

Question

I just updated mine.

I'm also surprised by how many very active wikitreers have absolutely nothing on their profiles. I hope those who fall into this category will rethink this approach and add a little something to help us get to know you.

I updated mine with a request RE what to do with my profiles upon my death.  Not that I am expecting the situation to become a reality anytime soon..... just following a suggestion in an earlier feed.

Nice idea. Mine was certainly blank. I've filled it in with lots more information.

Great idea! I just updated mine. Maybe next year I'll add a list of brick walls and/or areas for further research.

 Not gonna happen. I got older, which is Good. 

I did not get sick enough to see the doctors, which is Good. I did not marry, divorce, travel, get a degree, go back to school, get pregnant, attend any weddings, funerals, graduations, or reunions. I did not get arrested and jugged. I did not go bankrupt nor win a lottery. I did not take up a hobby. I did not get another pet. Hmm ... whole lotta more "I did not ..." 

Pray tell, how does one update their profile with "I did not ..."?

That sounds like a pretty good update....and I got tired just thinking of all the different things you didn't do!

I update  my profile with the Notables I connect - which makes for some interesting reading.

I also update any new (and interesting) DNA news  that happens in my family...

Updated mine. Mostly minor typos but did add a little bit about what life is like these days and what I'm planning for the future. I also updated the Advance Directive to include what should be done with Project free-space pages in case I forgot to include the appropriate projects as co-manager.

My profile gets updated regularly. The last update was on Xmas eve when I added the last 52 photos sticker update.

I updated mine the day before Christmas and also earlier in the year. I do want to find something new for my background.

Lovely idea. I have a few new pictures to add so will be working on my profile over the scan-a-thon weekend on the 13th January.

I'm also surprised at how many WikiTreers set their privacy so that their ancestors are not displayed.  The rest of us can't tell how we might be related to them.  And when they ask questions on G2G, we sometimes can't find the information to help them.

I update mine several times throughout the year since it's such an integral part of who I am. But this year I'm going to really concentrate on my bucket list. I have a pretty lengthy one. I might add that to my profile and mark the items off as I go. If I have any room on there, that is. :-)

I have lots on my profile, probably too much. I talk about connections and research. I'll be glad to add more bling if I can find it!!!
