Descendants of John Beach: Re:Wives & Parents

Good Day Wikitree Folks, I'm shortening the lengthy profile of John Beach of New Haven, & Stratford. Of course he seems to have attached wives and parents, that are unsourced, unproven and/or wrong. I spent yesterday reading articles at NEHGS and on the internet to double check that there was no new information on John. I didn't find anything.

Wife Mary Staples has long since been refuted.

Wife Mary Elliot, where did she come from? No sources, certainly unproven

Parents - Unsourced, unproven.

If you have comments please weigh in. Otherwise I am disconnecting the parents and wives (who I believe were real people, just not married to John Beach).

Anne, as long as you give the PMs a chance to say something, I'd say you're taking the right approach. It is never an easy decision to make, but if there is nothing to document the parents, when you remove them just be sure to use something like a == Disputed Parentage == heading and link to who was removed. We strive for accuracy, and as long as we're working together it shouldn't be an issue.

Just wondering, what do the profile managers and the people on the trusted list think about that?

Vincent, I've also put a similar message on the profile page. I've not heard anything back yet.

I wouldn't want you to get into a disagreement with those four persons that are listed as profile managers or on the trusted list.  You might think about waiting a bit before making such a drastic move.
