My sources tell me that these records exist, but I can't locate them.

1 - Daughter of John and Margaret Hacker baptized 1593 - perhaps Elizabeth

2 - Burial of wife of Francis Hacker, 27 Nov 1634 - name of wife?

Couldn't find the exact records on FreeREG but they did have this:

Margaret ROSSELL Francis HACKER     Marriage     23 Dec 1617     Nottinghamshire     East Bridgford : St Peter : Phillimore's Transcripts

Historian Barry Coward in the ODNB has a different parentage for the mother of Francis Hacker junior also: "Hacker, Francis (d. 1660), parliamentarian army officer and regicide, was the eldest son of Francis Hacker (d. 1646) of East Bridgeford and Colston Bassett, Nottinghamshire, and Margaret Whalley (d. 1634), daughter of William Whalley of Cotgrave."

That's correct, then.  Thanks.  One source was saying that was a 2nd wife, an Elizabeth, but Elizabeth was Margaret's daughter.

ETA: Further research leads to the conclusion that the maybe-Elizabeth wife was the FIRST wife, and there was another daughter Elizabeth, daughter of the first wife, who married Margaret Whalley's son Gervase Rossell, from HER first marriage.  Will have to write a Note. (Several Notes)

(I think FreeReg won't give me more answers until I pay them)

FamilySearch has church records (Bishop’s Transcripts and other records) dating from 1602. There are three sets of records: for one you must be at a FHC, for another it is not digitized, and the third seems to be church records other than BMD.

How unhelpful of them!
Actually, this is determined by the contractural relationship with the owner of the records, and is determined by the owner.
Nonetheless, it's frustrating to know it's out there, just out of reach.
